Nestled in the heart of Dragons Green, our beautifully restored 16th-century country pub offers a charming and versatile setting for all kinds of events and celebrations. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering, a family occasion, a corporate event, a wedding or a celebration of life, The George & Dragon provides warm hospitality, delicious food and a relaxed, countryside atmosphere that your guests will love.

A Beautiful & Flexible Space
With both indoor and outdoor areas available, our venue can accommodate a wide range of events:
The Restaurant
A large area with character-filled spaces complete with oak beams, cosy fires and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for private dining, celebrations, meetings and gatherings. Our restaurant space can hold up to 60 seated guests.
The Garden
Our large garden is ideal for celebrations, summer parties, barbecues and relaxed evening events. The back garden can seat up to 130 people and the front garden up to 60 people.
The Green Room
A private room perfect for small private gatherings, meetings or intimate dinners. This room can comfortably seat up to 12 people.
Main Pub
Our main pub area seats around 42 people, with additional bar stools and standing room. Complete with oak beams, cosy fires and comfortable seating — it's ideal for relaxed, convivial gatherings.
Exclusive Hire
For larger occasions, The George & Dragon can be hired exclusively, giving you private access to the entire pub, garden and accommodation for a truly bespoke experience.
